A few days ago, I decided to hire and test a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) expert by having them perform SEO tasks for my company website.
I’m giving them very little guidance and I’m relying on having them prove their expertise by giving them vague instructions and having them go at it.
A true SEO expert will know exactly what to do and since I’ve been doing SEO for almost 14 years, I know exactly what competent SEO work looks like.
Once this SEO expert proves their worth, I’ll have them start doing client work.
For now, they appear to be doing fantastic work.
I’m starting by having them start on work for my company website by performing tasks at square one.
Starting with identifying keywords, then pages to create based on the data, then blogs, backlinks, technical analysis, reporting, and other on-page, off-site tasks.
